Skin Rashes That Itch
There are many reasons why skin rashes itch, most of the time it is the bodies reaction to something that doesn't belong there. Whether it is a bug bite, poison ivy, or something that you are allergic too. All these things make your body react to that area of the skin and give it an itching sensation. You can say that the itching is a early warning sign that something is wrong, whether it is a bug bite or some type of skin disease. That can sometimes be a good thing because normally things that happen to your body that don't give you symptoms you notice it often goes unchecked, and that can be dangerous. At least if it itches you notice it and can get it checked out.
Normally people can tell how serious the rash is by it's location, and how wide spread it is. Heat rash photos, pictures of bug bites, and other visual tools can help you determine what itchy rash you have. Rashes and itching over a large part of the body could be a sign of either a allergic reaction to a drug, hives brought on by stress, or something else, or a viral infection. Rashes that are in a generalized area of the bod
y could be a reaction to bug bites, or something else that could have irritated your skin. The rule of thumb is if it is a rash that covers a decent part of your body it is some kind of reaction inside your body, but if it just covers a certain part of your body it was caused by something outside the body. Either way if you don't recognize the rash you should go to your doctor to get it checked out.
The good part about trying to self diagnose what kind of rash it is and how you got it is that there is a lot of information on the Internet. There are sites where
you can put down the symptoms of something you are suffering from and it will normally narrow it down and give you an idea of what it could be. WebMD.com is a great place to find information on all types of things about your body. Once you have narrowed it down you can see if it is something that you should go to the doctor about to get checked out.
These links are going to help you determine if whatever is giving you a rash and itch. It is still recommended that you seek out medical attention no matter what your rash looks like because it could always be something else, and if it's more serious that could end up being harmful to you. So whether you find something that is similar to what your rash looks like you need to have your doctor confirm it. These next sites will talk about different things that can give you a rash that itches.
I get ichy rash and its painful as well being inflamed it comes up out of the blue I cannot pin point the cause its all over my body, ie back of my calves, shins, stomach, back lower and some upper toward shoulders on my inside of forearm and top of arms, tops of my legs down to my knee around my thigh area outside mainly and a couple of patches on the inside a little on my face around my eyes and sometimes down my jawline under my ears, it comes and goes and sometimes it only flares up on my arms not my legs then sometimes on my legs not my arms then sometimes just on my face and then sometimes all over its totally driving me crazy I have been to specialist and they say discoid dermatitis which I have used strong topical ointments which yes do work but because it fares up all the time all over for no reason and sometimes a reason if Im really tired or stressed perhaps it hard putting so much of this ointment on continually and then my skin thins and now its so thin at the age of 42 it tears easily if my dog puts her paw on me it then bleeds then bruises so all the cortisone and steroid creams and ointments are just damaging my skin but the worse thing is it still comes and goes regardless of how much or how little I use. The steroid ointments just get rid of that patch quicker but then it comes back again so yes it must be caused by internal reaction because it flares up everywhere but then sometimes just the certain areas ie arms, legs or face as well so Iam baffled and have spent so much time with doctors etc but to be honest they just say the same thing its dermatitis.
